WHICH IS THE FIFTH OCEAN ON EARTH

The ocean around the Antarctica is now officially announced as the world’s fifth ocean by the national geographic society on the 8th of June 2021.

As it is located at the bottom of the planet earth, it is officially named the “THE SOUTHERN OCEAN”.

It is 5 recognized oceans now, namely THE ATLANTIC, PACIFIC, INDIAN, and ARCTIC OCEAN including“THE SOUTHERN OCEAN”.

All other 4 oceans are known by the continents at their border while the “SOUTHERN OCEAN” is known by its current.

The thing is it has been named officially on the “world oceans day“ i.e 8th June. Scientists and other educational institutions are saying that hereafter students can know more about the 5th new ocean more about the 5th new oceans. There is more to know about the southern ocean (antarctic ocean).
